Skied some real hard pack/ice Friday night at Jiminy.    The 3 degree edge bevel held like a race ski on steep icy hard pack.  They have that “get forward or I’ll throw you on your ass” edge hold in the tails.   And they’re FAST. – KM

My two kids and I demoed the Mert Ultimate Grip 18 on hard snow at Alta. We loved them! They skied like a manageable GS ski – rock solid going fast but a lot more turnable than a FIS ski.  Perfect for ripping resorts. – DK

Re: Mert Skis FIS slalom, 165 cm, 12 m radius – I decided to take them out for a few solo runs earlier today.  Holy cow, these babies shred!  They cling to the snow as if they were on rails.  They make all my previous skis feel doggish.  I’m so glad I stuck with the 65mm waist, the edge to edge transition is effortless.  I didn’t feel like I had to drive the skies as hard as what I was used to.  Instead, I simply went “with” the skis and the various terrain features and just carved…just carved everything to bits!

I was happy to feel the familiar pop when making short turns.  exiting a scrub turn and popping/transitioning into another short turn, scrub, pop…etc.  Fantastic!  I immediately began imagine what 10 radius skis would like in comparison.

I was also impressed by their sheer velocity and stability at speed.  I don’t usually lay my skis flat for too long because I love to turn but these hillbillies were obviously pedigreed for speed as well as accurate turning ability. Complete package! -IT

Thank you again for these wonderful skis. I’ve been in Vermont for ten days. If you look at the weather, we had powder, we had rain, it was 50 degrees, it was -10. So I had my wide skis for the powder days and I used your skis for the otherwise bulletproof days. Man, ultimate grip is the right description. I couldn’t believe how well those things held. They held on truly glacial ice to the point where you throw 110 percent of your body weight into your outside ski and you almost get thrown up hill, they would hold on so tight. So they were truly wonderful. I’ve had an absolute blast on them. Thank you. You really made my trip. This was a true eye opener to how much fun you can have on otherwise very difficult days on the right ski. – DS
